How We Select Platforms

We include platforms that are relevant to active day traders in the US market. Selection is based on:

• Availability of day-trading-relevant features (hotkeys, DOM, bracket orders, API)
• Market access (stocks, options, futures, forex, crypto)
• Regulatory status and account protection
• Relevance to our target audience of active retail traders

We do not accept payment for inclusion in our comparison. Platforms are listed based on editorial relevance.

How We Verify Data

• Pricing data is sourced from official platform pricing pages
• Margin requirements are verified against broker-published schedules
• Regulatory information is checked against FINRA, SEC, CFTC and NFA sources
• Each data point records a verification date and source URL where possible
• Data we cannot verify is marked "Needs verification" or "Check current pricing"

How We Update Content

Platform pricing and features change frequently. We aim to review all data quarterly and update immediately when we become aware of material changes. Each platform record includes a lastVerified date. Our update log on the homepage tracks significant changes.

How We Handle Errors

If you identify inaccurate information, please contact us. We will verify the claim against official sources and correct the data promptly if confirmed. Corrections are noted in our update log.

Affiliate Relationships and Editorial Independence

We may earn affiliate commissions from some platforms. However:

• Our scoring methodology is published and applied uniformly to all platforms
• Affiliate relationships do not influence scores, rankings or recommendations
• Our featured platform (NinjaTrader) is clearly labeled and positioned only for its strength in futures — not as a universal recommendation
• Platforms without affiliate relationships receive the same editorial treatment

Content Standards

• We do not fabricate testing experiences or claim hands-on use we have not performed
• We do not use absolute claims ("best", "lowest", "fastest") without qualification
• We do not copy content from competitor sites
• All content is written in natural, clear English for a trading audience
• We clearly distinguish between brokers, platforms and charting tools
